About

This site is a resource for anyone interested in the science and practice of PCR. It brings together the work of Professor Stephen Bustin PhD, FRSB, MAE, an internationally recognised authority on molecular diagnostics and scientific integrity.

Professor Bustin’s research has shaped how PCR is applied and understood worldwide. He is lead author of the MIQE guidelines, now cited nearly 20,000 times and incorporated into ISO standards, and played a pivotal role in exposing the misuse of PCR in the false MMR–autism claims, helping to protect public confidence in vaccination. His expertise is also called on in the courtroom, including as an expert witness in high-profile international trials.

The site combines selected publications, commentary, and recorded talks with ongoing projects in diagnostics, reproducibility, and data integrity. The aim is to provide reliable information, critical perspectives, and updates on the role of PCR in research, medicine, law, and public health.
